The Lakeshore News - THE FUTURE HAS ARRIVED - The Lakeshore is 6!

Land. Terra Firma. The most enduring and precious personal resource. Seasons, fashions values, ideals, even life itself all pass on and fade to oblivion but the land beneath our feet stays on.

In a teeming world of billions, a plot of earth one can call his own, is a blessing worth aspiring for.

In the latest comeback movie of Superman wherein his arch nemesis Lex Luthor expounds: “land is the only thing they don’t make anymore of these days”. In a diabolical real estate scheme, Luthor plants an alien crystal seed into the depths of the Atlantic which grows into a vast continent he plans to sell to land-thirsty humans with an acute need for living space. However, like all illegitimate and unscrupulous ventures, Luthor’s dream of instant rewards was eventually thwarted. For it takes more than wishful thinking and half-hearted efforts to make something out of nothing. Hard work, foresight, perseverance and an honest desire to do good, must be at the core of every endeavor in order for it to prosper.

During the early stages of development of The Lakeshore, the vision to bring about progressive and sustainable growth on land that was sidelined by decades of idle neglect. With a vision to create a great community, seeds of hope and optimism were planted and nurtured intensively with an eye to the future.

That future has arrived. On its sixth year The Lakeshore has attained a grand and dynamic momentum of its own. Propelled by the dreams and ambitions of homeowners, stockholders and employees whose expectations Central Country Estate, Incorporated (CCEI), proud owner and developer of the estate, has exceeded through the years, it has endured and overcome all adversity. Sleepy hamlets bereft of amenities and shorn of optimism through decades of rural stagnation have been infused with a new energy and enthusiasm with the construction of crucial roads and highways which in turn have brought an influx of new businesses and investors. Jobs and commercial opportunities have been created and a healthy bandwagon effect has brought about a merry mix of competitors into an expanding zone of prosperity. There are enough opportunities and blessings to go around for everyone to enjoy.

Today, ordinary folks can now take pleasure in extraordinary perks in a very family-friendly environment that espouses natural beauty, open space, and life-enhancing amenities. The Lakeshore has become all that but amazingly, is still a work in progress. CCEI is never content to sit on its laurels but is also keenly appreciative of its accomplishments and their impact on the grand cultural stage of Central Luzon . The Lakeshore has, in the span of half a decade become a bona fide tourist destination and a mecca for arts and sports activities. The Lakeshore has become a de rigueur staple of location scouts for TV commercials looking for an ideal setting to depict happy families basking in a carefree environment. Local and international sports events continue to be held around the vast expanse of the lake. The most beautiful women of the world have cavorted around the property in Miss Earth contests beamed around the globe. Lakeshore has become the venue for weddings, family reunions, business conclaves etc. The list of activities is colorful and varied. No wonder, one of Philippine Television’s most recognizable showbiz industry stalwarts, Boy Abunda, has agreed to endorse the estate and will soon build his house in one of the magnificent villages there.

So, what makes a community really great? It was a truism in the old days that the most important factors in a master-planned community were location, location and location. Today, it is lifestyle, lifestyle and lifestyle. Lifestyle allows families to enjoy together. Buyers need and want places that are fun to live in, full of interesting outdoor activities and locations to explore with lots of opportunities for interaction, thus creating a meaningful sense of community. The Lakeshore stands alone in its distinction as a rare hybrid: It sits on a great location and engenders a colorful lifestyle for its inhabitants. A survey was conducted by real estate mavens in the U.S. regarding the preferences on amenities generally favored by home buyers and they are as follows: 1) open space 2) walking and biking paths 3) established school 4) landscaped gardens, little parks and wooded areas 5) accessible grocery and convenient meeting places 6) good security 7) church 8) shopping centers 9) library 10) recreation and fitness center or clubhouse with organized sports events and leagues. Lakeshore is well on the way to achieving all 10.

The Lakeshore has become a lot of things to a whole lot of people but what makes CCEI truly proud is to hear neighbors in adjacent communities, say how The Lakeshore has brought about a sea change in their attitude towards development. “Posible pala ito dito!?” is the most common refrain that springs from the mouths of awed locals. And yet, its exclusivity has been tempered by an inclusiveness that has embraced people from all walks of life. The lake is a common ground that reverberates with the laughter of kids and equally playful adults in the early mornings and late afternoons.

Yes, land is precious. But it is made more precious by the love and happiness, the toils and aspirations, the joys and cherished memories that spring forth from its fertile and productive folds, enriching all who live on it.
